VALDIVIESO WINES
The first house of sparkling wines in South America, this is not only a historical fact, and it is the most valuable legacy that our founders left us. An invaluable legacy, alive in each bottle and in each corner where Valdivieso is present. A legacy that invites us to celebrate, just for the pleasure of it.

COMMITMENT
OUR WINERIES
Valdivieso currently has two production centres, one dedicated to the production of all the sparkling wines and the other to the production of all our still wines.
The plant where the sparkling wines are made is in Santiago, capital city of Chile, in the hundred-year-old winery where the Valdivieso family began to make the first sparkling wines in Chile in 1879. Its production capacity is of 6.5 million litres/year, with a storage capacity of 300,000 bottles produced using the traditional method, champenoise.
The plant where the wines are made is in Lontué, 200 kms. (124 miles) south of Santiago. All of Valdivieso’s wines are produced in this plant, from the most Premium ones, with its iconic Caballo Loco wine, to its varietal wines. Its production capacity is of 11 million liters and a capacity of 4,000 oak barrels for wine aging.
All of our products are shipped to the different markets of the world from both plants.
WINEMAKING TEAM
Brett Jackson HEAD WINEMAKER

Brett arrived to Viña Valdivieso in 2001, after working with reknown wineries in France, the United States, New Zealand and South Africa. In the mid-90s, he settled in Chile, coinciding with the wine boom that the country was experiencing during that decade. Since then, he has been dedicated to look for new areas where to develop Viña Valdivieso's vitiviniculture, developing terroir wines, which represent faithfully the area from which they come from.

HISTORY
The history of Valdivieso goes back to 1879, when Mr. Alberto Valdivieso founded “Champagne Alberto Valdivieso S.A”, the first house to produce sparkling wines in Chile and in South America.
Since then, Viña Valdivieso has established itself as the leader in this category in the domestic and South American markets, expanding its frontiers to Europe and Asia. After a century since its foundation, the commercial production of wines begins in our Lontué winery, in the Curicó Valley, achieving worldwide recognition and becoming icons of consumption in different countries.
Today, one hundred years later, Valdivieso is still the leader in its category, delivering quality products, and having the most varied portfolio in Chile.
